b4 i was a mom!

Before I was a mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullably.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a mom I had never been puked on, pooped on, chewed on, peed on. I had complete control of my mind and thoughts.

I slept all night.

Before I was a mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests, or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a mom.

Before I was a mom I didn't know the feeling of  having my heart outside my body.

I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important or happy.

Before I was a mom I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a mom.

Today is a NEW day...

Yesterday was a horrible day for me, ugh, I went form a angry Amy, to a negative Naomi which by the way is so not cute, my grandmother has always told me "be as good as u look" yesterday my appearance was really cute lol from head to toe, I was trying so hard to make my attitude match my appearance but it didn't work! Today is a new day, and I'm trying so hard to be a positive Pearryn =)

funny how things work, be careful what you wish for!

when you have something or someone and you lose them or it, and you feel like your world isn't complete without it or that person, then you get it or them back (LOL) and it just isn't the same, what are you to do next?!?!?!?

To be able to work with Matthew Rolston would be a blessing, his work is truly amazing. I feel like he stands out from other photographers because to him being a photographer is more than just getting the job done and standing behind the lens snapping, there is more to it then just the "camera and the lighting" he captures art, he tells a story through his images, and he loves to take risk! Man oh man how wonderful it would be just to grace his presene, it would be a extra bonus to be able to work with him, hey thats what dreams are for, right?!

3 years ago today the Lord blessed me with a beautiful healthy baby girl, she is gifted, talented, smart, and amazing, because of her I'm the best women/mother I can be, she is literally my EVERYTHING!!! I love you Pearryn smearryn, Happy Birthday baby girl......

If anyone knows me, and I mean really truly know me, than you know that I LOVE taking pictures and I LOVE being in front of the camera. Pictures build and save memories of times you cant get back, but with a picture it will always remind you of those good or bad times, make you laugh or even make you cry! I was just looking back at some photos form my 25th birthday weekend, now it was the craziest weekend ever, good and BAD lol but the whole entire time that I'm looking at these photos I had a smile on my face, I had such a great time celebrating my birthday regardless of the drama that occurred, but because of certain people who care and love me they made sure I enjoyed my birthday, that is why I love taking pictures, I can always look back and re-live those moments through images....

I know a lot of men who travel to Puerto Rico for vacation *cough cough* and I read today that in PR there are over 32,000 people diagnosed with Aids/HIV, the saddest part to the situation 406 of these cases are kids 13 and under, not cool at all, you think you know someone and YOU REALLY DON'T, so you better be careful, get tested, and ALWAYS USE PROTECTION!!!!!

I know personally a lot of the beautiful video models and a lot of them come from Pennsylvania (PA) don't get me wrong, that means NOTHING at all *im just saying*...This year over 37,000 people are infected with Aids/HIV in PA, close to 400 of these cases are kids 13 and under and over 58% of these cases are African American, we have to do better, especially if you care about your life!!!!

ohNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CALIFORNIA has over 159,000 people infected with Aids/HIV and 687 of these cases are kids 13 and under "SMFH" this is just in one year, so can you imagine the year before and the one before that?! sad, i know...

I wrote a 2pg letter to someone, put it in a envelope with some lyrics from a song I was feeling at the time, sealed it, stamped it, and put it in my "lovers" box.... u know the box?! the shoe box full of memories lol mine is a Steve Madden shoe box with important dates written on the outside, containing some real life important memories on the inside! How could something so BIG fit in something so small?! maybe it wasn't as big as I thought it was.... *shrugs*

Every time I tell my 2yr old daughter something, she hits me with the "WHY?!" lol our conversations last for hours....

Lately I have found myself asking the same question, why cant I move on from something or someone that clearly isn't right for me?! why did it have to be this way?! why am I going through this?! why ME?! lol but I got a reminder and I stop asking why and started praying, I might not have the answers now and might not ever get them, but everything happens for a reason, and I know eventually the Lord will answer all of the questions HE FEELS I should have, for now I'm doing me and only concerned with what is next, forget all those damn "why's" lol

I"m not a big fan of "RAP music" but I LOVE Drake, I enjoy Rick Ross and i can most def groove to Lil Wayne! I'm having a issue Rap Gods, there is a song with Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana (I think that is correct lol) and all I can remember is Lil Wayne saying "I got money on money" I really like this song but I cant find it =( I went to youtube, but no luck.... oh how I wish I could hear that song right about now!!!!!

Happy Labor Day

@home watching The Game marathon on BET, just might go to a bbq/ bday potluck, I'm not sure yet, feeling kinda lazy today lol 

Yesterday I went against my better judgment, I HATE when I second guess myself, I have to really start trusting myself and following my instinct. So a friend of mine invited me out to a pool party and the 1st thing out of my mouth "is it a NFL or #49er party? if so I will pass?!" she tells me it isn't, it's just a chill party with a few people, something tells me NOT TO GO, but I go anyways and I instantly feel like I'm about to throw up, I literally stay for about 8 min and then I leave! I HATE those type of parties, so not my flava, I was extremely embarrassed, SMH... Lesson learned, how many times do I have to doubt myself before I get with the program?!?!?!

The Game vs Love

I'm a sucker for romance; I love romance novels, movies, and romance in "real life." I especially love the TV show The Game, Melanie and Derwin's relationship is the epitome of LOVE (in my eyes) they remind me sooo much of a relationship I once had! How far would you go for love? What are you willing to sacrifice for love? Are you willing to fight hard for love? Love consist of the bad and the good, but I feel the bad will show you and your partner how strong your love for one another really is, it is so easy to stay when its good, but what matters the most is if your willing to stay when things get bad! NEVER give up on someone that you can't go a day without thinking about. There is a episode of The Game that really sticks to me, "the 1st away game" Derwin sent Melanie some flowers (i LOVE flowers) with a card and one ticket to the game, his teammates tell him that "wives and girlfriends" aren't allowed to come to away games lol and the sun beams are giving Melanie "their personal OPINIONS" about what they feel happens at away games, and that is when it all starts, now Derwin doesn't want Mel to go, and now Melanie is going crazy with her own thoughts smh, this how a lot of relationships go wrong because of other peoples opinions! Yes we might TRUST and love our men but when we start listening to other people we start thinking all types of crazy stuff lol without TRUST there is no love!

Isn't it crazy how we think we wont be able to move on from certain situations and when we look back we laugh? It just goes to show that nothing in LIFE is constant. people change. feelings change. friendships change. You could be spending days and nights with someone for weeks straight and then wake up and NEVER see them again. If you think you were in love, just wait a few years and then ask yourself if it was worth all the trouble you put your heart through. chances are you moved on to something better!
